"I was employed by the Aramark corporate entity on the Olympic Peninsula for 18 years. I can verify that their main  concern was NOT protecting the environment".

"Aramark concidered the "Green Program" an expense burden and neglected to follow through when EPA agents heads were turned. EPA could have had a hayday"!
"Aramark's 2 cycle engine "mouse" motor boat rentals stirred up the tribal owned lake and their hachery waters and caused gallons of oil to leak into the lake on a regular basis, poluting in extent,  into our clean, pristine, glacier fed lake".
   "Aramark had employees go down every morning to the dock and soak up large quantities of oil pools floating on the surface of the water before they could open. The boat rental attendent leaned people into renting the kayaks (rental was less$) instead of the power boats due to environmental oil issues and was fired for educating the customers on awareness and exposing the secrets of keeping operations up and running by bringing in that CASH Crop".
  "Heavy furtilizers were used for "Keeping the Lawn Green" that would runoff into the lake with each good rainfall.
Aramarks claim  to preserving the irreplaceable is partially true. They are out to preserve the irreplaceable dollar.. Yours and mine. They want to be assured they get it all. The Park bringing Wilderness preserve boundries down around them would guarantee no new business's could ever materialize and would cause the few existing business's to settle for the "left overs". Sweet Deal for Aramark who's base company is in Philadelphia and not locally owned".

   "Hospitality also doesn't come into play for employess without threat.  If a guest at the Aramark owned Lake Quinault Lodge ever inquires about the red and white "STOP WILD OLYMPICS  signs that businesses and homeowners have placed on their property, employees have been threatened with LOSING their jobs if they assert any knowledge on the subject.   Also any employee that holds a management title
are not allowed by the company policies, to socialize within the community they live. No social events, gatherings, fund raisers (unless they are company fundraisers) or partys. If they do,  they will also lose their jobs.  A nefarious way of handling things wouldn't you say?"

"ARAMARK corporate monopolies are out to offer INDUSTRY leading hospitality by working to squeeze out small business's and eliminatating  competition.  Aramark's goal is to end up sole  inholder, sole controller of all businesses bordering Park properties".

Ararmark now owns a monoply of facilities.  On the Peninsula alone they own and operate Quinault Lodging,  Kalaloch Lodging and Campgrounds, Lake Cresent Lodging,  Solduck Hot Springs Lodging, Hurricane Ridge etc.  Their corporate offerings  have encircled the Peninsula. They also own their own uniform supplier company (out of state) , laundry company and other commodity companies that provide for their business to profit for themselves (out of state). Many other places in Washington State and acrossed the country are owned and operated by Aramark
They have LOCKED up the business end and do not practice EOE. Many employees train out workers from other Aramark Corp. establishments, that are brought in at a higher wage. Local employment in aramark owned areas are often replaced by Aramark employees in other states by those seeking a tranfer or those who have been seasonally laid off elsewhere.  When they boast about providing jobs that is partially true, but many are not locals seeking work. They Boast big claims but fail to meet them.

 Following to the end of the first quarter, ARAMARK completed the acquisition of a food service company in China, further expanding its service capabilities and scale in this dynamic economy. ARAMARK now has more than 8,000 employees in China providing an array of food and facilities services.

 
"Good old China, once again plays into the picture.  Crushing the US economy around us.  US business's involving products Aramark offers will soon be outsourceed to  cheaper overseas laborers.  When they gloat about how many jobs they supply in this country it is misleading at best and over time will become more prominent as to just how few.  Aramark is a minimunm wage employers. Basically seasonal partime employment. This way they escape the cost of fulltime benefits an employees might otherwise receive.

  "After  the first 5 years of employment under Aramark,  one fatal day at our workplace,  many came to work finding their full time positions,  deflated to part time temporary seasonal employees.   After that day
seniority no longer existed.  They referred to the tourist industry as a disposable job market.  Eventually all the higher than minimum wage paid employees, were layed off or forced to quit.  After these steps occurred the "it all pays the same" rule was then put into place".

2012 Aramark has also gained the contract to operate and cut firewood for the Campgrounds in Quinault.  Our local high school was looking forward to getting the firewood permit, but was
stepped on by this  corporate, crushing, job killing entity. As of this year Aramark claims they will no longer be hiring High School Students for summer help.  The Quinault HS students have held summer job positions since the construction of the lodging facility back in 1926.  This allowed our young people the
opportunity to help fund their college educations.  Aramark feels that they are more important then the community that surrounds them. They seem to have disregarded the fact that the Quinault community has existed since here since around 1890 and They are the new comers to the valley. Not the people who have settled and lived here.

This leaves ONE business in the whole community of Quinault left and UNOWNED by Aramark.  Aramark would like our community to somehow disappear and are in kahoots with the Park to try and make this happen.

   Did Aramark pick the wrong area to set up housekeeping?  Apparently they don't think so.  They've got $$$$$$$$ and are use to pushing their way in by lobbying for dirty deeds covered up with poetic propaganda. Tactics to grab your money and make sure noone else does.  Aramark doen't lie when they claim "We've got it ALL".
